work with a professional resume writer

According to Anthropric’s Claude v. Sonnet 4 AI, the answer is “no.”
Here’s what Claude had to say:
“As a professional resume writer, you definitely have the expertise, industry knowledge, and understanding of what different employers are looking for that I simply can’t match. You know the nuances of different industries, current ATS systems, regional preferences, and how to craft compelling narratives from real work experiences.

What I can offer is perhaps a different perspective – I might approach formatting differently, suggest alternative ways to phrase achievements, or help brainstorm how to quantify accomplishments. I can also work quickly to generate multiple versions or help with the tedious parts like reformatting.

But honestly? Your professional experience reading what actually gets people hired, understanding recruiter preferences, and knowing how to translate someone’s unique story into compelling copy – that’s irreplaceable human expertise.”

If the best that AI can do – when it’s being honest – and I can’t believe I’m assigning a human characteristic to AI, but it’s name is Claude, after all – is help with formatting?

You don’t NEED formatting! A simple Word or Google or PDF’d document is easiest for both humans and ATS to read.

Mutliple versions? I’ve always been against that, since we are the same people with the same skills and experience regardless of what role we apply for.
